Emergency Rental Assistance

The Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERA) provides rental and utility relief payments to help eligible renters. Maine’s Community Action Agencies, including MMCA, review applications, check eligibility, and process payments for eligible expenses on behalf of households. This statewide program began in March 2020 and helps individuals with up to 18 units of assistance. Housing Stability

Housing Stability Services coordinates housing assistance for homeless and at-risk individuals and families through referrals and access to emergency funds, including ERA. This service is available to residents of  Sagadahoc and Lincoln counties.

If requested, we can make a referral to an internal service/program provided by MMCA or an external source of assistance. These services are provided free of charge to clients.

Ledgewood Court Family Housing

Ledgewood Court is a 24-unit affordable housing townhouse development off Piper Mill Road in Damariscotta. Two- and three-bedroom apartments are available to income-qualified families. Rents are variable based on apartment size and family income.
