Rental Payment Assistance

Ledgewood Court Family Housing

Ledgewood Court is a 24-unit affordable housing townhouse development off Piper Mill Road in Damariscotta. Two- and three-bedroom apartments are available to income-qualified families. Rents are variable based on apartment size and family income.

Housing Counseling

Housing Counseling Services, which provide coordinated housing assistance for homeless and at-risk individuals and families through referrals and access to emergency funds, are available to residents of northern Cumberland, Sagadahoc and Lincoln counties.

The scope of services include counseling, referral and advocacy, budgeting assistance, and emergency fund application for security deposits, rent, fuel, utility payments, and, in some instances, other daily living emergencies.

MMCA’s Housing Counselor will assist clients with creating current and/or revised budgets to obtain goals and assist with money management education.  They provide information on how to obtain, track and maintain credit reports, and educate clients on how to build or rebuild bad credit.

We also assist community members balance financial obligations to avoid becoming delinquent or experiencing another type of financial crisis.

If requested, we can make a referral to an internal service/program provided by MMCA or an external source of assistance. Case Management services are provided free of charge to clients.
