Accountant – Purchasing & AP

Qualifications include Baccalaureate Degree with a major in Accounting or Business Administration preferred.  Relevant work experience may be substituted for four-year degree.  At least 2 years’ experience in an accounting or equivalent position.  Experience in fund accounting and working with state and/or federal funding sources in a non-profit organization preferred.  Demonstrated ability to work with computers required.  Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, schedule and manage complex multiple tasks required.  High degree of organizational skill and accuracy required.  Excellent oral/written communication skills required.

Responsibilities include generating timely/accurate financial statements and reports to meet agency deadlines; prepares schedules for agency-wide budget and audit process; assists  in preparation of program budgets; data entry of invoices, purchase orders, and weekly receipts; prepares weekly payment of all invoices in a timely/efficient manner; records cash disbursements; maintains AP filing system; prepares/supervises preparation and posting of journal entries; maintains equipment and supplies inventory.

Salary range $32370.00 – $39000.00.

Head Start

Case Manager – Mid Coast Area

 Responsibilities include recruiting eligible children; helping families to identify family goals, strengths, and coordinating resources; assisting parents in developing parent committees, attending meetings.  Applicants must have considerable knowledge of social services available to low-income families; demonstrated ability to work in crisis situations; ability to work independently and as a team member; effective communication skills; must have driver’s license and reliable vehicle.  Bachelor Degree in Social Work or related field is requiredPosition is 37.5 hours per week.  Pay range $12.44 – $14.00 per hour.

Head Start Teachers  (Anticipated Openings)

These positions are 35-40 hours per week, some full year/some school year.

We use Opening the World of Learning (OWL) curriculum in our 3-5 year old classrooms, and Teaching Strageties Gold as our assessment system.  Orientation and training are provided in curriculum and all other aspects of pre-kindergarten programming.

Responsibilities and Qualifications:  All teaching staff work under the direct supervision of the HS Center Manager.  Teachers are responsible for planning and implementing the early childhood curriculum in classrooms, conducting child assessments, meeting with families, encouraging parent engagement in their children’s education, and working with the center team to ensure a smooth flow of daily activities and events.  Qualifications:  Applicants with an 081 certification will be given preference in public school collaboration classrooms.  An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a closely related field is required.  Infant Toddler Child Development Associates or Pre-K Child Development Associates may be considered.

Early Head Start Teachers (Anticipated Openings)

Early Head Start (EHS) Infant toddler teaching positions are year-round and 40 hours per week.  The program uses Creative Curriculum for Infants and Toddlers along with Teaching Strategies Gold (TSG) Assessment System.  Orientation and training are provided in curriculum and all other aspects of infant and toddler programming.  The program operates 48 weeks per year.

CDA – 9.27 – 11.51

Associates – 10.82 – 13.41

Bachelors – 12.44 -15.95

081 certification –  16.00 – 17.50
