Midcoast Maine Community Action (MMCA), a mid-coast human services agency, is seeking qualified applicants to fill anticipated openings in our Head Start (HS) program.  Our HS program provides a birth to five continuum of services encompassing education, family engagement, health, nutrition and disabilities content areas of the program.

 

Head Start Teacher – Brunswick

 

This position is 35 hours per week, 34 weeks per year.

We use Opening the World of Learning (OWL) curriculum in our 3-5 year old classrooms, and Teaching Strategies Gold as our assessment system.  Orientation and training are provided in curriculum and all other aspects of pre-kindergarten programming.

 

Responsibilities and Qualifications:  All teaching staff work under the direct supervision of the HS Center Manager.  Teachers are responsible for planning and implementing the early childhood curriculum in classrooms, conducting child assessments, meeting with families, encouraging parent engagement in their children’s education, and working with the center team to ensure a smooth flow of daily activities and events.  Qualifications:  Applicants with an 081 certification will be given preference in public school collaboration classrooms.  An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a closely related field is required.  Infant Toddler Child Development Associates or Pre-K Child Development Associates may be considered.

 

Benefits:  MMCA gives employees a generous benefits package which includes health and dental insurance (must work 30 hours or more per week for insurance benefits), paid vacation and sick time, paid holidays, 403(b) plan.

 

Pay ranges:  Pay range is dependent on teacher qualifications and experience.

CDA – 9.36 – 11.55

Associates – 10.93 – 13.54

Bachelors – 12.56 -16.10

081 certification –  16.00 – 17.50

Program and Data Specialist

MMCA, a large mid-coast human service agency, is seeking qualified applicants for the following position:

 

PROGRAM AND DATA SPECIALIST

 

Gathers and analyzes data to prepare reports on agency programs.  Prepares service statistics and produces agency annual report and community needs assessment.  Proficiency in MS Word and Excel required; experience with databases, MS PowerPoint, and Publisher preferred.  Proven writing skills including experience producing reports qualitative and quantitative data. Ability to plan, organize, schedule, and manage complex multiple tasks and projects.  Must demonstrate high degree of accuracy.  Ability to carry out duties with a minimum of supervision required.  Qualifications:  Bachelor degree preferred.  Experience in work with data and writing reports and grants.

Salary Range: $16.00 hr – $20.00 hr.
